Pictures!

We're on the Dave Ramsey program.. being very frugal with our budget so we can pay off debt and life debt free. (It's so close, we can almost smell it from here - and what a sweet smell being debt free is!)
We hardly ever splurge on photos. Usually we go to wherever we have a coupon - we've been to JC Penny's, Target, and that place in the mall that we can never remember the name of. We've always been reasonably satisfied with the pictures, but always disappointed with the process/service.

We got to meet a fabulous photographer in our FPU class - and she's a relative of a friend of mine. Her website is one of those "wow, ooooh, awwww" photography websites that I always dreamed we could be a part of but never bothered to look into the business there because of inevitable cost.

Turns out this nice chicka-dee has very reasonable prices, and we'll end up paying much less for prints in the long run than if we went to another run-of-the-mill place like before. Our preview proofs are up on her website! You should check them out and leave me comments of love and admiration. Because, after all, I have the cutest kids EVER.

Another Random List... aren't you lucky

  • I should update this blog more often. But I have trouble finding real motivation.
  • I forgot to mention that last week, our little family of four got to visit the tornado shelter at the mall. I told you about our visit to Monkey Bizness, which is inside the mall - but I neglected to mention that we were hunkering down in the shelter just an hour before the birthday fun began.
  • Rich's family cooks. Like, a LOT. And all the time. And his Aunt? She makes all the birthday cakes. And Julia had a pretty little Winnie the Pooh birthday cake (her choice). And it was very large. And it's almost a week later, and I finally polished the rest of it off. Oh, and the cupcakes that were leftover from her kiddie party last week. I'm so not eating well.
  • Our "Summer Church Tour of '08" has finally come to an end, I think. We'll be back at our "old" church in a few weeks. We've grown a lot over the summer.
  • I'm ready for Fall. We had a whole week of cool mornings and rainy days here and I loved it. Now, it's sunny and nice outside again and - while I'm enjoying it - I know it won't last long and I am looking forward to Autumn.
  • We're four weeks into the Financial Peace University class that husby and I are leading, and I'm getting excited about being debt free all over again. If, er I mean WHEN we sell our van (it's for sale, wanna buy it??), we'll be able to get out of debt in about a year. That means everything we have, we own. Well, except for the house. ....But, our vehicles, our student loans, everything will be all paid off. And that totally rocks.
  • Right now, I have two 1 year olds, a 2 year old and a 4 year old all sleeping. And the cool part is - they all just feel asleep a few minuts ago. So, like, it's naptime!! It's very rare that I ever get a break during the day. There's dishes to be done and laundry to fold and put away... but serioulsy - everyone's sleeping. That crap can wait! :)
  • I'm trying to decide if I want to keep this blog or not. It's tempting to completely give it up. Blogging is such a weird hobby.
  • We have friends who are trying to adopt a child. They have everything they need - they're foster care certified and they're just waiting for the phone call from the social worker letting them know that there's a baby waiting for a home. How cool is that? I think thats fabulously cool.
  • Thats it for now!
